Our long hot trek was worth it. We all enjoyed Sun Studio. We had old sytle Coke and Dr. Pepper as we waited in the 'Malt Shop'. There were lots of amazing pieces of memorabilia and photographs of many famous Sun Studio artists - Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and of course Elvis.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, describing Elvis' first visit to the studio and Sam Phillips sale of Elvis' contract to RCA for $35k. (what an idiot!)
We all got a chance to pose at the mic where Elvis stood to record his first hit! (notice the 'x' on the floor)
